Rabindra Sangeet artist Sumitra Sen passed away on Tuesday (3rd January 2023) morning. Veteran Rabindra Sangeet artist Sumitra Sen passed away on Tuesday morning. He was 89 years old. The artist was suffering from bronchopneumonia for several days.
She was 89 years old at the time of his death. She was suffering from aging problems for a long time. Sumitra Sen was also diagnosed with bronchopneumonia on December 21 last year. She was admitted to a private hospital in South Kolkata. The doctors said that the artist had secondary complications due to pneumonia. The artist was brought home on Monday night. It was decided by the family that the treatment of the artist will continue from home. But, this veteran artist breathed his last at around four in the morning on Tuesday.
Rabindra Sangeet artist Sumitra's two daughters have also left an impression on the Bengali music world. His elder daughter is artiste Indrani Sen. Younger daughter Sravani Sen also gained popularity as a Rabindra Sangeet artiste.
