2022 Midnapore College PG Admission Notification And Merit Lists

 Online Admission into the PG Courses: Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics, Zoology, Physiology, Botany, Bengali, English, Sanskrit, Political Science, Philosophy, History, Computer Science & Geography will be made strictly on Merit Basis.

 Minimum Eligibility Criteria for application: (14 Core Papers must completed in Honours) Physics, Chemistry, Mathematics and Geography CGPA 7.0 in Graduation. CGPA 6.65 for applicants of Reserved Category Zoology, Physiology, Botany and Computer Science CGPA 6.5 in Graduation. CGPA 6.175 for applicants of Reserved Category Bengali and English CGPA 6.0 in Graduation. CGPA 5.70 for applicants of Reserved Category Sanskrit, History, Political Science and Philosophy CGPA 5.5 in Graduation. CGPA 5.225 for applicants of Reserved Category 


Online Application Forms for admission will be available on and from 01.08.2022 to 27.08.2022 on Midnapore College website – www.midnaporecollege.ac.in 


 Application Cost of Rs. 400/- to be paid through Online Payment Mode. 


 All Applicants have to appear in Entrance Test – 2022 to be conducted by the College. 


 The Entrance Test – 2022 will be held on 30.08.2022 & 31.08.2022. 


Instructions to the Candidates for Entrance Test - 2022 of Midnapore College i. Test Booklet will contain 50 (fifty) Multiple Choice Questions. ii. Each question have 04 (four) options to answer. iii. Each correct answer will carry 02 (two) marks. iv. 0.5 (one half) marks will be deducted for each wrong answer. v. Candidates are required to enter their Roll No. and the Test Booklet Series: A/B/C/D in the appropriate space on the OMR Sheet. vi. Candidates are required to put their answers on the OMR Sheet by blackening completely the appropriate option-circle of a given question by Black Ball Point Pen only. Partial blackening of the option-circle will be treated as a wrong answer. vii. Answering more than one option for a particular question or correction in any form will be treated as a wrong answer. viii. Graph Paper, Log Table, Calculators, Pager, Cell Phone, Tab, Digital Diary or any other electronic gadgets are strictly prohibited in the Examination Hall. ix. No Candidate will be allowed to enter the Examination Hall once the Exam starts. x. Candidates will not be allowed to leave the Examination Hall before completion of the Examination. xi. Candidates may use specified page(s) for rough works. xii. After answering the candidates must submit their Test Booklet and the OMR Sheet to the Invigilators. xiii. Candidates must record their attendance in the Attendance Sheet. xiv. Candidates must not mark anything including their names or sign anywhere in the Test Booklet or OMR Sheet. xv. Downloaded Admit Card has to be authenticated by producing any Photo Identity Card (like AADHAAR, PAN, Driving Licence, Passport) in Original when asked for. 


 Merit List for Admission will be prepared taking into account 30% of CGPA and 70% of the obtained marks in PG Entrance Test – 2022. 


 Merit List will be prepared for Admission separately for 80% Category from Parent University only and for 20% for Students of other Universities. 


 Selected Candidates have to choose one Subject for CBCS Paper in 2nd Semester and 3rd Semester from among 13 alternatives (except the PG subject applied for) while applying Online for Admission. 


 All admissions are provisional and will be cancelled during verification or at any time for incorporation of incorrect data or false statements. 


 All admissions will be made as per existing Reservation Policy of the State Government. The Candidates will have to produce SC/ST/OBC/PWD Certificates in original at the time of Verification in support of their claim for respective reservation. m) The Attendance of a candidate admitted will not be less than 80% in every 10 days of 1st Semester.
