The results of this year's Higher Secondary examination have been published. The Parliament of Higher Education (WBCHSE) released the results 44 days after the end of the examination. Parliament Speaker Chiranjeev Bhattacharya announced the results at a press conference at 11am on Friday. The pass rate is 6.44 percent. 6 lakh 36 thousand 75 students have passed.
The pass rate is more than 90 percent in 6 districts including East Midnapore, West Midnapore, Jhargram, Purulia, Bankura and Kalimpong. The pass rate for male students is 90.19 percent and for female students it is 7.69 percent. The parliament has published the merit list from the first to the tenth. There are 262 students in this list. 144 male and 126 female students. Besides, district based merit list can be seen on the website.
The total number of candidates this year was 6 lakh 20 thousand 72. The number of female students is about 65.46 more than male students. Their pass rate is also higher than that of students. This year, the students got the opportunity to sit for the exam for the first time in their school.
