Legendary sports personality Chuni Goswami passes away at 05:00 PM on April 30, 2020 at a private nursing home at South Kolkata. For the last few months, Chuni Goswami was suffering from underlying ailments with sugar, prostate and nerve problems. Chuni Goswami was admitted to a city hospital earlier in the day and breathed his last at 5 pm after cardiac arrest.
Chuni was not only a footballer, he played cricket in state level and was caption of West Bengal cricket team. Chuni Goswami played tennis in club level. A true Mohan Bagan lover, Chuni played in Mohan Bagan club throughout his football and cricket career.
After retiring from football, Chuni Goswami concentrated fully on cricket and he was a regular cricketer of West Bengal team in Ranji Trophy. He retired from cricket in 1973.
