IMPORTANT DATES

Application form will be available in the school website at www.rkmvpurulia.in. from 16.07.2020 to 27.07.2020. 

The candidates are asked to send the filled in form along with the necessary documents through email by 27.07.2020.

Eligibility: 

(a) The Students interested to apply for admission with Science stream must obtain at least 85% marks in aggregate and 90% marks in Science group in the Madhyamik Pariksha in order to gain the eligibility to apply for admission. 

(b) Students interested to opt for Economics, Statistics, Mathematics and Political Science must obtain at least 85% marks in aggregate in the Madhyamik Pariksha in order to gain the eligibility to apply for admission. 

(c) Students interested to apply for admission with Humanities stream must obtain at least 80% marks in aggregate in the Madhyamik Pariksha. 

The eligible candidates will have to appear in a ‘Virtual Interview’ through Whatsapp Video Calling from 29.07.2020 to 31.07.2020. The details will be published on 28.07.2020 after 1 p.m. 

On the basis of the marks obtained in the Board examination and the ‘Virtual Interview’ the candidates will be selected to get admission to Class XI. The list of the eligible candidates for admission will be published in the website on 03.08.2020 on 12 noon. 5. The guardians of the eligible candidates will have to deposit the admission fees from 04.08.2020 to 06.08.2020 through Net Banking, NEFT etc. to secure admission for their wards, failing which their claim for admission afterwards shall not be entertained.

SYLLABUS 

 PHYSICS:  i) Idea of physical quantity and unit, conversion between one unit system to another unit system. Dimension, Basic knowledge of Vector Quantity. ii) Basic knowledge of Calculus, Trigonometry, Coordinate system, Reference Frame. iii) Idea of Mass, Weight, Heat, Temperature, Centre of Mass. iv) Idea of Motion (Linear and Circular). Application of equation of Kinematics to find out different parameters of motion. Idea of reference frame for understanding of motion and relative motion. Idea of acceleration due to gravity. Idea of force from Newton’s Law of motion. Force calculation. Idea of inertia and momentum. Application of force. MATHEMATICS:  i) Concept of set theory and idea of function and concept of Logarithm. ii) Sequence and series, Arithmetic progression, Geometric progression and related properties and sums. iii) Idea of Quadratic Equation. iv) Concept of Associated Angle. v) Compound angles and transformation of sums and differences into product. vi) Fundamental idea about Co-ordinate Geometry; Locus, Cartesian Coordinate, Polar Coordinate, Equation of Straight line in different forms. vii) Concept of Limit, Algebra of Limit, Standard Limit and their simple application. viii) Fundamental idea of Derivatives, Derivative as a rate measure, Some standard Derivatives. ix) Use of Rules of Differentiation to solve problems on Mechanics. x) Basic knowledge of Integration for dealing problems on Mechanics.

Result of Performance Test 2020 Class V Admission

The following students have been qualified for the Oral Test to be held at Ramakrishna Mission Vidyapith, Purulia according to the schedule given below. Selected students are asked to bring Admit Card, Passport size colour photograph (2 copies), Original Birth Certificate, Character Certificate, Medical Certificate and Parents’ Annual Income Certificate for verification. Parents / Guardians of the qualified students must be present for an interaction with the undersigned before the commencement of the Oral Test. Guardians of finally selected students after the Oral Test may secure admission of their wards by paying Rs. 45,150.00/- (Rupees Forty Five thousand one hundred fifty only) in cash or by drafts at Vidyapith Cash Office on the same day. Drafts should be drawn in favour of “RAMAKRISHNA MISSION VIDYAPITH, PURULIA”. Drafts drawn from U.B.I are preferable. Students failing to appear in the Oral Test as per the schedule given below will not be entertained further. Once the admission is completed no amount will be refunded, if the ward is withdrawn from the school.

GENERAL INFORMATION

Ramakrishna Mission Vidyapith, Purulia is a completely residential school (both English and Bengali medium) for boys from classes V to XII. It is affiliated to West Bengal Board of Secondary Education and West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education.

Financial assistance in the form of several scholarships and stipends are awarded to financially poor students from class V onwards strictly on the basis of merit and good conduct.

No accommodation in Vidyapith campus will be provided during the tests.

Vidyapith conducts no coaching / tutorials for the Admission Test.

The Application form must be filled in online. Once the form is successfully filled in, applicants must download the same and submit the printed copy along with the following documents to our Admission Office by hand. Candidates from Manipur may send their forms along with the documents and Demand Draft of Rs. 1200/- in favour of ‘Ramakrishna Mission Vidyapith, Purulia’ through speed post. They must procure prospectus by hand. The documents are:

a) Photocopy of Birth Certificate
b) Photocopy of Marksheet of the last examination
c) Photocopy of Aadhaar Card
d) Photocopy of Caste Certificate of the candidate or his father (if applicable)


Cost of each form is Rs. 600/- (Rs. 1200/- for candidates from Manipur)
