Assam Public Service Commission Recruitment of 50 Forest Rangers

Assam Public Service Commission (APSC) is inviting application from interested and eligible candidates for 50 posts of Forest Rangers. Interested and eligible candidates may apply.

FOREST RANGERS

No. of Vacancies: 50 Nos. (UR-39, OBC/MOBC-12, SC-05, STP-06, STH-03)

Educational Qualification: Bachelor’s Degree (or equivalent) in Science or Engineering of any recognized University with at least in one of the following subjects:-
i. Agriculture
ii. Botany
iii. Chemistry
iv. Computer Applications/ Computer Science
v. Engineering (Agriculture/ Chemical/ Civil/ Computer/ Electrical/ Electronics/ Mechanical)
vi. Environmental Science
vii. Forestry
viii. Geology
ix. Horticulture
x. Mathematics
xi. Physics
xii. Statistics
xiii. Veterinary Science
xiv. Zoology



Age Limit: Minimum 21 years and maximum 43 years as on 01 January 2018


Pay Scale: Rs 22000/- to 87000/- and Grade Pay Rs.10300/-

 Physical Standards (For all above posts):

(i) Male Candidates: Height — 163 (152 for ST candidates); Chest (unexpanded) — 84; Chest (expanded) — by 05 cms

(ii) Female Candidates: Height — 150 (145 for ST candidates); Chest — 79cms; Chest (expanded) — by 05 cms

Selection Procedure: Selection of the candidates will be through Written Examination, Interview, Walking Test and Medical Examination. The selected candidates will be on probation for a period of 18 months.
