50% marks in the undergraduate level to be eligible to apply in the General

Admission will be
made on the basis of Index Mark only. Any candidate who fails to appear at the
scheduled time and date will not be considered for admission later.
Phase II admission
may be considered if vacancies exist.

Eligibility Criteria
Candidates who have passed in the B.Sc. (Hons) examination of Calcutta University or equivalent in the year 2017 are eligible to apply.
Total Number of Seats: Chemistry – 30 Botany – 20
Seats for General Merit Category: Calcutta University – 17% Other Universities – 12%
Other Reservation of Seats: SC – 22%, ST – 6%, PH – 3%, Christian – 30%,
Scottish Church College Students – 10%
Applicants must have scored at least 50% marks in the qualifying examination are eligible to apply in the General Merit category. 40% for SC/ST/Christian applicants
Applicants for the Chemistry course should have passed in Mathematics and Physics/Computer Science as elective subjects at the U.G. level.
