Eligibility Criteria

Candidates seeking admission in Physics must have M.Sc degree in Physics/Mathematics with a minimum of 55% marks in aggregate, equivalent, or first class B.E/B.Tech degree in Engineering Students who expect to complete their final degree in the academic year 2015-2016 may also apply, provided they can produce their final score card at the time of admission

Selection Procedure

Candidates seeking admission will be called for an interview based on performance in the Joint Entrance Screening Test 2016 (JEST 2016) or UGC/CSIR-NET for JRF (Physics) or in subject GRE (Physics) or sufficiently high score in GATE. Please note that in GATE, the streams that are acceptable for interviews to different groups at RRI are:

SCM: Physics, ECE, Chemical Engg., EE, Materials Science, Metallurgy

A&A: Physics, ECE, Mech. Engg, EE, CSE

LAMP: Physics, ECE

TP: Physics (PH), Mathematics (MA)

Call letters for interviews will be sent around the second week of April 2016
