Left Front leaders earlier expressed their desire to make
alliance with Congress in West Bengal assembly election 2016. Three days ago
former West Bengal chief minister Buddhadeb Bhattacharjee issued an open appeal
to the Congress to join hands with the Left parties in the forthcoming WB
assembly elections in 2016 but CPM general secretary Sitaram Yechury on Monday
said there would be no front or alliance with Congress.
Mr. Yechuri said “Electoral alliances are now not on the
agenda. no front or alliance with the Congress”.
Adhir Choudhury was interested in making the alliance with
Left Front while some of the senior leaders are not interested.
