The GATE 2016 is expected to be held between 30 January and 7 February. GATE is an all-India examination and will be conducted in 2016 by the Indian Institute of Technology, Madras and Indian Institute of Science.
Candidates wishing to apply for GATE 2016 mush have qualified in any of the following:
B.E./B.Tech./B.Pharm.
B.Arch.
B.Sc.(Research)/B.S.
M.Sc./M.A./MCA or equivalent
Int. M.E/M.Tech(Post-B.Sc.)
Int. M.E./ M.Tech or Dual Degree (after Diploma or 10+2)
Int. M.Sc/Int. B.S.-M.S.
Professional Society Examinations (equivalent to B.E./B.Tech./B.Arch.)
Important Dates
The application process begins on September 1 (Tuesday) at 00:00 hrs
The last date for submission of online application through website is October 1 (Thursday), 23:59 hrs
The last date for request for change in the choice of city is November 20, (Friday)
Availability of admit card on the online application interface for printing: Thursday, December 17, 2015
The online exams will be conducted on January 30 (Saturday) and January 31 (Sunday), and February 6 (Saturday) and February 7 (Sunday) between 9.00am and 12.00 noon; 2.00pm and 5.00pm
The results will be announced on March 19 (17:00 hrs) on the online application website
