West Bengal Staff Selection Commission Recruitment of English Stenographer and Librarian

West Bengal Staff Selection Commission (WBSSC) is inviting application from the eligible candidates for the posts of English Stenographer (Basic Grade) and Librarian. Interested and eligible candidates may apply Online only through the official website of the West Bengal SSC.

Details of Vacancies 

English Stenographer (Basic Grade): 64 Nos. (UR-27, SC-05, ST-09, BC:A-19, BC:B-03, LM/CP -01)

Educational Qualification: A Pass in School Final / Madhyamik Examination of the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education or its equivalent AND Acquisition of Computer Literacy and knowledge of Windows (Word, Excel & Power point).

Pay Scale: Rs.7100 – Rs.37600 and Grade Pay: Rs.3600/-

Librarian: 13 Nos. (UR-06, SC-03, ST-01,BC:A-02, BC:B-01)
under School Education Deptt.

Educational Qualification: A Master’s Degree in Library Science OR A Second Class Master’s Degree in any subject other than Library Science of a recognized University and a Bachelor’s Degree in Library Science of a recognised University.

Candidates must have knowledge of Bengali (Spoken & Written)

Pay Scale: Rs.7100 – Rs.37600 and Grade Pay: Rs.3900/-

Age Limit: Not more than 32 years as on 01.01.2015. Upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, 10 years for PWD & as per Govt. norms for Ex-Servicemen & others

Selection Procedure: Selection of the candidates will be through Written Examination. Candidates applying for English Stenographer will have to appear in written test and Shorthand/Typing test.
