Eastern Railway – Kanchrapara Railway Workshop, Kolkata, invites applications from eligible and interested candidates for 750 posts of Act Apprentices in different Trades, viz.-Fitter, Welder, Electrician, Machinist, Wireman, Capenter & Painter.

1. Fitter  240 posts (UR-121; SC-36; ST-18; OBC-65)
2. Welder (G&E)  143 posts. (UR-72; SC-21; ST-11; OBC-39)
3. Electrician  264 posts. (UR-133; SC-40; ST-20; OBC-71)
4. Machinist  22 posts. (UR-11; SC-03; ST-02; OBC-06)
5. Wireman  12 posts. (UR- 6; SC-2; ST-1; OBC-03)
6. Carpenter  31 posts. (UR-16; SC-05; ST-02; OBC-08)
7. Painter (General)  38 posts. (UR-19; SC-06; ST-03; OBC-10)

Educational Qualification  Matriculation/ Class 10 pass with minimum 50% marks AND ITI (NCVT) certificate in relevant trade.

Age Limit  Completed 15 years of age and should not have completed 24 years of age as on 01/07/2015

Upper Age Relaxation  Upper age limit is relaxable by 5 years for SC/ST, 3 years for OBC, 10 years for PWD & as per Govt. norms for Ex-Servicemen & others.
