On 15 October 2014, voters of Maharashtra and Haryana will cast their assembly votes. BJP is trying hard to perform better in these two states as in recent past they have failed to do better in assembly by-polls in many states.
As per an IndiaTV-C Voter tracking poll, BJP is projected to emerge as the single largest party in both Maharashtra and Haryana. As per the survey, in the 90-seat Haryana assembly, BJP is projected to win in 33 seats, while Om Prakash Chautala's Indian National Lok Dal may win 28 seats. Present ruling party Congress is projected to win 16 seats.
In Maharashtra, out of 288 assembly seats, BJP may win 93 seats and 59 seats may go to Shiv Sena. Congress and Raj Thackeray's Maharashtra Navnirman Sena may win in 47 and 27 seats respectively.
