Cyclone Hudhud is likely to hit Odisha and Andhra Pradesh on 12 October and Home Minister Rajnath Singh spoke to the chief ministers of the three states--Andhra Pradesh, Odisha and Telangana about their preparation to combat the situation. Central Government has assured all kind of help in rescue and relief operation.
The National Disaster Relief Force (NDRF) is on high alert and 35 teams are mobilized in different parts of Andhra Pradesh and Odisha as listed below.
In Andhra Pradesh, the NDRF teams are in Vishakhapatnam, East Godavari, Srikakulam, Vijaynagaram, Guntur.
In Odisha, NDRF teams are at Koraput, Malkangiri, Kandhmal, Gajapati, Puri, Balasore, Bhuwaneshwar, Bhadrak and Khura, Chatarpur, Aska, Behrampur, Mundali.
