Death Penalty for all the four accused in Delhi rape case

Just now the court pronounced death penalty for all the four accused in Delhi rape case.

The much-awaited closure in a rape case that triggered the whole nation and Delhi fast-track court announced capital punishment for the accused who were involved in gang-rape and murder of a young student last December.

Bus cleaner Akshay Thakur, gym instructor Vinay Sharma, fruit-seller Pawan Gupta and unemployed Mukesh Singh are the four accused among the six who lured the girl and her male friend inside a bus on the night of 16 December 2012. The girl was returning with her boyfriend after watching a movie at a mall. After the crime the girl and her boyfriend were thrown out of the moving bus and the accused tried to run the vehicle over them. The girl was left on the road half-naked, seriously injured, severely bleeding. The girl died on 29 December 2012.

Six men were arrested on the gang rape case. One committed suicide in the prison. Another accused was 17 at the time of the attack and was sentenced by a juvenile court to three years in a reform home.
