In 2021 West Bengal assembly election, Neeraj Zimba of BJP defeated his nearest rival Keshav Raj Sharma of GJM (Binay faction) and won the Darjeeling assembly seat. Neeraj Zimba got 68,907 votes and Keshav Raj Sharma got 47,631 votes.
In the West Bengal state assembly election 2016, Amar Singh Rai of GJM defeated his nearest rival Sarda Rai Subba of AITC.
In the West Bengal state assembly election 2011, Trilok Dewan of GJM defeated his nearest rival Bim Subba of GNLF.
In 2006 West Bengal assembly election, Pranay Rai of GNLF defeated his nearest rival Amar Lama, an independent candidate and won the Darjeeling assembly seat.
