Main features and analysis of West Bengal Madhyamik Examination 2011 result


West Bengal Madhyamik Examination 2011 result is published. 9084501 students are entering marching towards their career. In this article analysis of the main features of the results are done

 Total 909312 students appeared in West Bengal Madhyamik examination 2011, out of which 9084501 students are successful. If we look at the pass percentage of students, it is 80.57 %, 1.2 % less from last year Madhyamik examination. Boys students have done better result than girls this time. Pass percentage of boys students is 84.85 percent while 76.33 percent of girls have passed this time. Handicapped students comparatively have done better results. 85.26 percentage of handicapped students appeared this year Madhtamik examination have passed.


Only 8 students have got ‘AA” grade in all the seven subjects and the students are :

Swathisau Mondal – Burdwan district

Megha Mallik – Burdwan district

Poulomi Nandi – Burdwan district

Nibedita Manna – Cooch Behar district

Dipanjan Chottopadhyay – Bankura district

Achintya Dey – Uttar Dinazpur district

Arka Chand – Bankura district


Students of Purba Medinipur have performed the best in Madhyamik examination 2011 while the result of Purulia students is comparatively poor. In Purba Medinipur success percentage of students is 89.33 while in Purulia district 65.35 percentage of students have passed. The pass percentage in Kolkata is 86.30 percentage.


Total blind students appeared in Madhyamik examination 2011 was 150 and 140 students have passed the examination. No result is kept pending.

Total number of students got ‘AA’ grade in Life Science is 22719

Total number of students got ‘AA’ grade in Mathematics is 35653

Total number of students got ‘AA’ grade in Physical Science is 35707


Result of Physical Science is very good while result of History and Mathematics is comparatively bad.


Probable first in Madhyamik examination 2011is Dipanjan Chottopadhyay of Bankura district.

Next year Madhyamik examination will start on 24 February and will end on 7 March.
