Job vacancy in Northeast Frontier Railway

Northeast Frontier Railway will recruit 2018 persons in Group ‘D’ posts. Read this article to know about the recruitment.

Post: GROUP – D

Number of vacancies: 2018 of which 990 posts are for general candidates, 528 posts are for OBC candidates, 293 posts are for ST candidates, 147 posts are reserved for ST candidates and the rest 60 posta are for PH candidates.

Essential Qualification: Candidates should be either Madhyamik pass or ITI certificate holder  or with equivalent qualification.

Age limits: Candidates age must be below 33 years as on 1 January 2013.  Upper age relaxation is applicable for SC/ST, OBC and PH candidates by 5 years, 3 years and 10 years respectively.

Application Fees: General and OBC candidates have to pay application fee which is Rs.40/-. The application fee should be  in form of Indian Postal Order and drawn in favour of – FA&CAO, N.F. Railway and payable at GPO, Guwahati.

Candidates will be selected through Written Examination , Physical Efficiency Test (PET) and Medical Examination. 

In Physical Efficiency Test, male candidates have to run 1500 meters in 6 minutes and female candidates have to run 400 meters in 3 minutes.

Application procedure: Prepare the application in A4 size paper and enclose attested copies of testimonials and documents in support of eligibility. At the top of the envelop write: "Applications for Gr. D posts, Northeast Frontier Railway" and post in ordinary post. The application should reachon or before 23 November 2012.
