In 2021 assembly elections in West Bengal, Ambika Roy of  BJP defeated his nearest rival Aniruddha Biswas of  Trinamool Congress. Ambika Roy got 95,995 votes and Aniruddha Biswas got  93,421 votes.

In 2016 assembly elections in West Bengal, Dr. Ramendranath Biswas of Trinamool Congress won this assembly seat.

In 2011 assembly elections in West Bengal, Ramendranath Biswas of Trinamool Congress defeated his nearest rival Jyotsna Sikdar of  CPI (M). Ramendranath Biswas got 92,322 votes and Jyotsna Sikdar got 76,632 votes.
