Cooch Behar Palace, also known as Victor Jubilee Palaceis the most attractive tourist place in Cooch Behar district of West Bengal. This palace was built on 1887 and was designed on the model of famous Buckingham Palace, London. This attractive palace was built during the reign of Maharaja Nripendra Narayan who is known as the architect of modern Cooch Behar town.
Cooch Behar Palace is now protected by the Archaeological Survey of India. It is a double storey building. Total area is 51,309 square feet. The Cooch Behar palace was used for dwelling of the first family of Cooch Behar. A museum, landscaping lawns make the place attractive to tourists.
There are many halls and rooms in this Cooch Behar Palace such as Durbar Hall, Dining Hall, Billiard hall, Dressing Room, Bed Room, Drawing Room, Library, Toshakhana, Ladies Gallery and Vestibules.
Madan Mohan Temple in Cooch Behar
This temple was constructed during the reign of Maharaja Nripendra Narayan. The idols of Lord Madan Mohan, Ma Kali, Ma Tara and Ma Bhavani are placed inside the temple. Madan Mohan is the another name of Lord Krishna. Lord Madan Mohan is very famous to Cooch Behar people. This temple is a must see for tourists. Best time for tourists to visit Madan Mohan Temple is during Rush Purnima, ratha jatra, Janmashthami and dol jatra. Rash Purnima is one of the biggest festivals of North Bengal. The temple celebrates the traditional Rash Yatra, along with Rash Mela.

Sagardighi in Cooch Behar
Sagardighi is also located in the Cooch Behar town. It’s a huge tank surrounded by heritage buildings. Some of those are Victor House and a War Memorial. Evening is the best time to visit this place. At the end of the day, tourists can enjoy this calm and quite place coupled with scenic beauty. Lot of migratory birds comes in this tank and nearby trees during winters.
Baneswar Siva Temple in Cooch Behar
Baneswar Siva Temple is also a popular tourist spot in Cooch Behar. This temple is located nearly 10 km north of Cooch Behar city. The temple has a Shivaling, 'Gouripat' and statue of Ardhanariswar installed in it. During Madan Chaturdashi and Dol Purnima festival of Cooch Behar the statue is carried to the famous Madan Mohan Temple. There is a pond inside the temple premises. Large number of tortoises can be seen in the pond.
Light & Sound Show
Just deside the Cooch Behar Palace, there is a garden where the light and sound show are organized on every Friday and Saturday. This show is managed by the cultural dept of West Bengal and is worth watching for tourists. This show starts in the evening.
Siddheswari Kali Bari in Cooch Behar
This famous Kali bari of Cooch Behar is situated at a distance of 11 km from Cooch Behar town. It was constructed by Maharaja Harendra Narayan at around 1830. Idol of Goddess Siddheswari can be seen in this temple. Another attraction of this temple is the holy Kamranga tree near the temple.
Baradebi Bari in Cooch Behar
Location of this temple is at Debibari of Cooch Behar Town. This temple has the influence of European architecture. In this temple idol of Goddess Durga is installed and during Durga Puja this temple attracts local people and tourists.
Kamteswari temple in Cooch Behar
This temple is situated at about 8 km west of Dinhata railway station. Large numbers of local festivals are observed in this temple premise among them Batha festivalof in the month of Magh is famous.
