Brief history of Syamaprasad College

Established in 1958, Syamaprasad College was founded byDr. Syamaprasad Mukherjee and was affiliated to the University of Calcutta. The main objective of Syamaprasad College was to enhance the progress of higher education in Commerce. It got separated from Asutosh College where it earlier started its functioning, and became a separate college. Day by Day the college progressed in the field of education. The name of the college was such that to pay tribute to the great personality Dr. Syamaprasad Mukherjee, the son of Sir Asutosh.

Syamaprasad College provides undergraduate degree coursessuch as (a) Bachelor of Commerce in Accounting & Finance and Marketing (b) Bachelor of Arts in English, Bengali and Education (c) Bachelor of Science in Computer Science, Electronics, Geography, Economics, mathematics and Major in Computer Application.
