Rabindra Jayanti is the birth anniversary of World famous poet Rabindranath Tagore. This festival is celebrated on every 25th of Boishakh of Bengali calendar. Bengali communities all over the world celebrate this festival with great enthusiasm.

Rabindra Jayanti is a state holiday in West Bengal. Many schools and clubs in West Bengal celebrate Rabindra Jayanti with songs and drama of Rabindranath Tagore. Cultural programs, seminars are arranged in all corners of West Bengal, other states and abroad on this special day. At Rabindra Sadan in Kolkata, program starts from the morning. Eminent and upcoming Rabindra sangeet artists perform there. Rabindra sangeet, Rabindra geeti natya, nritya natya etc are performed there. Novelists, poets and eminent personalities gather there and take part in seminars on the works of Rabindranath Tagore. In 2011, Rabindra Jayanti is on 9 May. The day will be celebrated with cultural programs and exhibitions on Tagore.
