Maharaja Manindra Chandra College was established in 15thJuly, 1941 and named after Late Maharaja Sir Manindra Chandra Nandi of Cossimbazar. The college was formed due to the inspiring personalities like Dr. Panchanan Neogi I.E.S (Retd.) and Maharaja Sris Chandra Nandi of Cossimbazar. The college stands on the ancestral property of Maharaja Manindra Chandra Nandi. The old building was transformed into a four-storied building due to its rising popularity and increasing number of students.
