By Railway from Howrah

By Railway from Sealdah
Intercity Express, Rajdhani Express, Poorva Express, Kalka Mail etc are passing through Durgapur.
Apart from these trains many long distance trains are passing through Durgapur and have stoppage at Durgapur station. These trains are Howrah Mumbai Mail (via Allahabad), Sealdah Jammu Tawi, Howrah Gwalior Chambal Express, Howrah Indore Shipra Express and many more trains.

By road transport service
Durgapur is on NH-2 and buses are plying regularly from Kolkata and Bardhaman. Both state , private and Volvo buses are passing through Durgapur. The road being wide and well maintained, the bus journey is a comfortable one excepting sometimes jam at Panagarh.
