Who is Pinki Pramanik – man or woman?


Pinki Pramanik is in hot news in recent days. Pinki Pramanik  is an Indian woman athlete with specialisation in 400 mts and 800 mts race. Pinki Pramanik is originally from Purulia district and she was born on 10 April 1986. As an athelete Pinki Pramanik was successful. Pinki Pramanik  won gold for India in the 4×400 metres relay at the 2006 Asian Games and silver at the Melbourne Commonwealth Games in 2006.

Pinki Pramanik retired from the field three years ago.

Relation between Pinki Pramanik  and controversies are from the beginning of her career. In the year 2004 a single shot improvised gun was found in Pinki’s possession. Purulia is very sensitive zone in West Bengal so far as Maoist activities are concerned. However after investigations, Pinki was cleared of all charges. 


Recently Pinki Pramanik is again in hot news. Pinki Pramanik’s female live-in-partner, a divorcee and a mother of one child has lodged a complaint that Pinki has raped her and Pinki is a male. Pinki’s female partner said that Pinki has all the organs of a male.  


Pinki Pramanik underwent a gender determination test on 18 June 2012, Monday by a six-member medical board and the report will be published today. The whole nation is waiting eagerly to see who is Pinki Pramanik? Whether Pinki is a male or female will be disclossed today.
