Class V Admission 2025


Circular for Admission to Class V 2025
[ONLY FOR BOYS]
1. Class and Medium: Admission is open only to Class V, both Bengali Medium and English
Medium. Each candidate may apply either for English Medium or for Bengali Medium. If
anyone applies for both English Medium and Bengali Medium, his candidature is liable to be
cancelled. It being a residential school, all the boys should stay at the hostels. The school is
affiliated to the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education and the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education. Boys are admitted here after admission test and interview.

2. Eligibility:
Boys now reading in Class IV or V are eligible for admission test for Class V. Candidates having no formal education in any school are not eligible.
Age : Between 10 and 11 years of age as on 1st January, 2025 (i.e. born between 02.01.2014 and 01.01.2015)

Marks :
 For General Category: Boys should secure 60% marks in Bengali / Hindi, 60% marks in
English & 70% marks in Mathematics in their last Annual Examination.
 For SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B : Boys should secure 55% marks in Bengali / Hindi, 55% marks in
English & 65% marks in Mathematics in their last Annual Examination.

In cases where no marks are awarded and only grading is done, exact percentage of marks
and conversion formula adopted are to be mentioned with documentary evidence, if required.

3. Application: Applications should be submitted ONLINE ONLY on the School website at
http://www.rkmvnarendrapur.org. No OFFLINE form will be issued.

Important Dates

 Filling up of online application will commence on Friday 19th July 2024 from 10.00 a.m.

Last date for submission of online application: Saturday, 23rd November 2024 up to 5-00 p.m.

 Last date of payment of fees: Saturday, 23rd November 2024

 After successful payment, the ADMIT CARD will be auto-generated and can be
downloaded between Monday, 25th November 2024 & Thursday, 28th November 2024.

Please download and print the ADMIT CARD (preferably coloured) and carry it to the
admission centre. Without admit card no candidate will be allowed to enter the
Examination hall.

The cost of the Application Form is to be paid ONLINE only. The amount to be paid for each
candidate is as follows.
For Narendrapur Centre : Rs. 855/-
For Malda Centre : Rs. 1255/-
For Siliguri Centre : Rs. 1255/ and
For Manipur Centre : Rs. 1755/-

4. Documents to be uploaded [jpg, jpeg, png or pdf format only]:

candidates from Manipur only)

 Candidates from places other than mentioned above will appear for the Admission Test at
Narendrapur Centre only.

6. Admission Test: Admission Test for the boys of Bengali Medium and English Medium will be
held on Sunday, 1st December, 2024 between 12.00 noon and 2.45 pm.

Boys seeking admission to English Medium will have to sit for the Written Tests in Bengali
or Hindi, English, Mathematics, Current Affairs and Ramakrishna Movement & Indian
Culture. Here Bengali or Hindi is the First Language in English Medium, and English is the
Second Language.

Boys seeking admission to Bengali Medium will have to sit for the Written Tests in Bengali,
English, Mathematics, Current Affairs and Ramakrishna Movement & Indian Culture.

 There will be five papers carrying 160 marks in total (Bengali/Hindi: 45; English: 45;
Mathematics: 45; Current Affairs: 10, Ramakrishna Movement & Indian Culture: 15). The
duration of the Test for each subject of Bengali/Hindi, English and Mathematics is 45
minutes and that of Current Affairs and Ramakrishna Movement & Indian Culture is 10 and
15 minutes respectively.

The syllabi meant for Classes IV and V prescribed by different Boards or Councils will be
covered mainly. Emphasis is given on the basic concepts or fundamentals of thhe subjects,
simple and correct sentences with right spellings of words and good handwriting etc.

Result will be published on our Vidyalaya website (http://www.rkmvnarendrapur.org)
within 7 days from the date of examination.

7. Any information given in the Application Form, if subsequently found wrong, may cause
expulsion of the student, even after admission.

8. No admission is made against receipt of donation in cash orkind.

9. Boys irrespective of caste, creed or nationality are admitted. Preference is given to boys
belonging to the weaker sections of the society. Excellence in co-curricular activities is desirable.

10. In no case, question papers of the previous years are given or published in any form. The
Vidyalaya also does not conduct any coaching classes for the AdmissionTest.

11. Financial assistance is given to a few meritorious boys belonging to financially weak families.

2025 Ramakrishna Mission Vidyapith Purulia Class V, VI and XI Admission Notification


2025 Class V Admission


The admission process for class V at Ramakrishna Mission Vidyapith, Purulia consists of two phases: the Written Test and the Interview. These tests serve as a means to evaluate the candidates' academic aptitude, as well as their personal qualities and suitability for the school's residential setup.

1.      Eligibility :

a)       Qualification : Boys who are studying in Class IV/V and have obtained a minimum aggregate of 60% marks in the last Annual Examination they appeared for are eligible to take the admission test. In cases where the school follows a grading system instead of awarding marks, the exact percentage equivalent to the grading scale and the conversion formula used must be mentioned. Documentary evidence may be required to validate the grading scale and conversion formula, if necessary.

b)      Age limit                : The students must have been born between 01 September 2013 and 30 April 2015

c)       Height                   : 130 cm to 152 cm

d)      Weight                  : 30 kg to 50 kg

2.      Application Procedure :

a)       The Application Forms for admission to class V at Ramakrishna Mission Vidyapith, Purulia will be available online on the official website www.rkmvpurulia.in between 31 July 2024 at 11.00 a.m. and 13 November 2024 at 05.00 p.m. No offline application forms will be issued.

b)      During the online application process, the following documents need to be uploaded:

(i)                   Birth Certificate of the student

(ii)                 Aadhaar Card or Aadhaar Acknowledgement

(iii)                Caste Certificate, if applicable

(iv)               Marksheet of the student's last annual examination

(v)                 Recent passport-size Photograph

(vi)               Signatures of the student and guardian

c)       The Admission Test Fees amounting to Rs. 1200/- (Rs. 2000/- for candidates from Manipur) must be paid online by 13 November 2024.

d)     Once the application form has been successfully submitted and the Admission Test fee has been paid, the ADMIT CARD can be immediately downloaded from the website. If not, please open the application form, provide the candidate's date of birth and Aadhar number, and then download the admit card. Without the Admit Card, no candidate will be allowed to enter the examination hall.

b)      Date and time of the Written Test                         :           24.11.2024 (Sunday), 10.30 a.m. to 12.15 p.m.

c)       Results of the Written Test                                    :           30.11.2024 (Saturday) after 04.00 p.m.

d)      Interview, Medical Test & Admission                     :           02.12.2024 and 03.12.2024, from 09.00 a.m.

N.B.:    The Vidyamandira, Shikshanamandir, Golpark, and Siliguri centres have limited seats available, and they operate on a 'first-come, first-served' basis.

5.      Subjects of the Written Test & Interview :

a)       First Language - Bengali/Hindi (Marks 50)                      c) Mathematics (Marks - 50)

b)      Second Language - English (Marks - 50)                           d) General Intelligence (Marks - 10)

 

6.      During the interview process for admission, the following documents are to be submitted:

a)       Original copy of Character Certificate issued by the Headmaster/Principal of present school of the applicant

b)      A Medical Certificate issued by a Registered Medical Practitioner, including his Registration Number

c)       Photocopies of the Annual Income Certificate(s) of guardian(s)

d)      Two copies of passport-size colour photographs of the applicant

7.      Any information provided in the Application form that is subsequently found to be incorrect or false may lead to the expulsion of the candidate from the admission process or the school.

8.      The candidate must report to the examination venue at least before 30 minutes of the scheduled time of the examination.

9.      The student shall use a ball pen (blue or black) to write the answer papers.

10.  Candidates are strictly prohibited from bringing calculators, mobile phones, Bluetooth devices, or any other electrical gadgets in the examination hall.

11.  Communication of any sort between the examinees inside the Examination Hall is strictly prohibited. If a candidate writes his name or puts any special marks at any place in the Examination Booklet, which may disclose in any way the identity of the candidate, he shall render himself liable to be disqualified.

12.  Vidyapith offers scholarships to financially disadvantaged students based on merit and good conduct.

13.  Vidyapith does not offer any coaching or tutorials specifically for the Admission Test. The institution does not provide question papers from previous years or sample question papers for preparation purposes.

14.  No accommodation within the Vidyapith campus will be provided during the admission tests.
