12.38 p.m.: No Service Tax for houses built under 60 square metres.
12.35 p.m.: Excise duty on tobacco increased by 10-15 per cent.

Circular for Admission to Class V 2025[ONLY FOR BOYS]1. Class and Medium: Admission is open only to Class V, both Bengali Medium and EnglishMedium. Each candidate may apply either for English Medium or for Bengali Medium. Ifanyone applies for both English Medium and Bengali Medium, his candidature is liable to becancelled. It being a residential school, all the boys should stay at the hostels. The school isaffiliated to the West Bengal Board of Secondary Education and the West Bengal Council of Higher Secondary Education. Boys are admitted here after admission test and interview.
2. Eligibility:Boys now reading in Class IV or V are eligible for admission test for Class V. Candidates having no formal education in any school are not eligible.Age : Between 10 and 11 years of age as on 1st January, 2025 (i.e. born between 02.01.2014 and 01.01.2015)
Marks : For General Category: Boys should secure 60% marks in Bengali / Hindi, 60% marks inEnglish & 70% marks in Mathematics in their last Annual Examination. For SC/ST/OBC-A/OBC-B : Boys should secure 55% marks in Bengali / Hindi, 55% marks inEnglish & 65% marks in Mathematics in their last Annual Examination.
In cases where no marks are awarded and only grading is done, exact percentage of marksand conversion formula adopted are to be mentioned with documentary evidence, if required.
3. Application: Applications should be submitted ONLINE ONLY on the School website athttp://www.rkmvnarendrapur.org. No OFFLINE form will be issued.

6. Admission Test: Admission Test for the boys of Bengali Medium and English Medium will beheld on Sunday, 1st December, 2024 between 12.00 noon and 2.45 pm.
Boys seeking admission to English Medium will have to sit for the Written Tests in Bengalior Hindi, English, Mathematics, Current Affairs and Ramakrishna Movement & IndianCulture. Here Bengali or Hindi is the First Language in English Medium, and English is theSecond Language.
Boys seeking admission to Bengali Medium will have to sit for the Written Tests in Bengali,English, Mathematics, Current Affairs and Ramakrishna Movement & Indian Culture.
There will be five papers carrying 160 marks in total (Bengali/Hindi: 45; English: 45;Mathematics: 45; Current Affairs: 10, Ramakrishna Movement & Indian Culture: 15). Theduration of the Test for each subject of Bengali/Hindi, English and Mathematics is 45minutes and that of Current Affairs and Ramakrishna Movement & Indian Culture is 10 and15 minutes respectively.
The syllabi meant for Classes IV and V prescribed by different Boards or Councils will becovered mainly. Emphasis is given on the basic concepts or fundamentals of thhe subjects,simple and correct sentences with right spellings of words and good handwriting etc.
Result will be published on our Vidyalaya website (http://www.rkmvnarendrapur.org)within 7 days from the date of examination.
7. Any information given in the Application Form, if subsequently found wrong, may causeexpulsion of the student, even after admission.
8. No admission is made against receipt of donation in cash orkind.
9. Boys irrespective of caste, creed or nationality are admitted. Preference is given to boysbelonging to the weaker sections of the society. Excellence in co-curricular activities is desirable.
10. In no case, question papers of the previous years are given or published in any form. TheVidyalaya also does not conduct any coaching classes for the AdmissionTest.
