In 2021 assembly elections in West Bengal, Subrata Thakur of BJP defeated his nearest rival Narottom Biswas of Trinamool Congress. Subrata Thakur got 100,808 votes while Narottom Biswas got 91,230 votes.
In 2016 assembly elections in West Bengal, Pulin Bihari Ray of Trinamool Congress defeated his nearest rival Kapil Krishna Thakur of CPI. Pulin Bihari Ray got 93,812 votes while Kapil Krishna Thakur got 64,240 votes.
