In 2021 assembly elections in West Bengal, Biswajit Das of BJP defeated his nearest rival Paritosh Kumar Saha of Trinamool Congress. Biswajit Das got 1,08,111 votes while Paritosh Kumar Saha got 98,319 votes.
In 2016 assembly elections in West Bengal, Upendra Nath Biswas of Trinamool Congress defeated his nearest rival Bikash Biswas of BSP. Upendra Nath Biswas got 1,02,026 votes while Bikash Biswas got 89,790 votes.
