In the 1991 state assembly poll, Haradhan Bauri of CPI (M) defeated his nearest rival Sastidhar Bagdi of INC.


In the 1987 state assembly poll, Sukhendu Khan of CPI (M) defeated his nearest rival Kallol Saha of INC.


In the 1982 state assembly poll, Sukhendu Khan of CPI (M) defeated his nearest rival Sasthi Bauri of INC.


In the 1977 state assembly poll, Sukhendu Khan of CPI (M) defeated his nearest rival Kanai Saha of JNP.
