2014 Lok Sabha election result was in favour of AITC. Pratima Mondal of AITC defeated her nearest rival Subhash Naskar of RSP. Pratima Mondal got 494,746 votes and won the Jaynagar Lok Sabha constituency seat. Subhash Naskar got 386,362 votes.
2009 Lok Sabha election result was in favour of SUCI. Dr. Tarun Mondal of SUCI defeated his nearest rival Nimai Barman of RSP. Dr. Tarun Mondal got 445,867 votes and won the Jaynagar Lok Sabha constituency seat. Nimai Barman got 392,191 votes.
